  • Position Summary

    The Dispatch Supervisor supports service operations with all new activities for service group and will be responsible for management of dispatch team, metrics, ensuring customer satisfaction and reporting statistical performance levels.

    Major Duties & Responsibilities

    • Play a lead role in supporting Dispatch team.
    • Maintain a pleasant work environment for staff providing them the appropriate dispatch equipment with manager approval.
    • Monitor the route activity of all districts in the West, ensuring timely completion of tasks; monitor procedures related to availability and completion of tasks, follow-up on issues related to service and operations.
    • Run report for open and in jeopardy orders from previous day and same day.
    • Train new dispatchers
    • Fill in for dispatchers that call out
    • Run daily late deliveries report
    • Run the daily huddle
    • Monitor phones to make sure everyone is logged in and ready
    • Contact techs and obtain delivery ETA’s when requested by Customer Service 
    • Execute projects within required deadlines
    • Update/Create SOPs
    • Keep the Logistics Sharepoint up to date
    • Monitor ADP for all direct reports.
    • May be required to travel

    Required Education

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 1 - 3 years Account Management or Dispatch Experience
    • Strong Knowledge in MS applications, specifically Excel
    • Must be analytical and have problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation
    • Ability to collaborate with all levels within Joerns and within the customer organization
    • Ability to react calmly and effectively while under pressure
    • Ability to assess potential problems and have excellent problem-solving skills
    • Communicate with people of diverse social and cultural backgrounds
    • Proficient in computer applications systems
    • Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be an individual contributor and results oriented
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrate support for change

    Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

    • Three (3) years supervisory experience
    • Associates degree
    • SAP/CRM experience preferred
    • Knowledge and understanding of DME healthcare equipment preferred
