  • Position Summary

    The  Salesforce.com Administrator is responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing instance of salesforce.com for the Sales Cloud, Enterprise version. Tasks will also include user set-up, addressing reporting needs, monitoring and supporting the application and on-going maintenance activities, addressing application issues, and assisting with updates to the application. This individual will assist executives and project managers in determining next phases of the project. This person will also work with other business partners to identify practical customer facing solutions through existing or new business systems technology and will be responsible for the administration and ongoing support of the application in cooperation with the business and IT.

    Major Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide enterprise support and implementation of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions
    • Provides expertise in the effective operation of applications
    • Translates business processes into systems solutions
    • Performs system configuration to enable and improve business processes
    • Works closely with cross-functional team to design and execute test scripts resulting from system changes
    • Performs analysis to effectively understand and address system issues
    • Works closely with Salesforce.com regarding issues, enhancements, and upgrades
    • Provides direction and support to application developers
    • Works closely with IT management to identify and prioritize technology issues requiring changes to application systems
    • Participates in enhancements to internal and purchased applications
    • Provides day-to-day CRM user support
    • Acts as liaison between internal help desk and Salesforce.com for the hosted CRM solution
    • Imports and updates data into Salesforce.com
    • Runs ad hoc reports to retrieve system metrics
    • Provides hands-on training to application users

    Required Education

    4 year degree in business or related field

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 2 years providing Salesforce.com administrator support to at least 20 users
    • Salesforce.com administrator certification
    • Experience developing system requirements
    • General business knowledge including indirect channel and direct Salesforce processes
    • Configuration of roles, profiles, and data visibility rules
    • Understanding of page layouts and record types
    • Workflow and partner relationship management
    • Testing (Unit, System) knowledge and experience
    • Demonstrates highly driven, self-starter characteristics
    • Advanced Excel skills utilizing functions such as V-Lookup and Concatenate as well as other program features such as pivot tables, conditional formatting, charts and graphs, etc.
    • Excellent knowledge of Salesforce.com

    Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

    • Previous experience with SAP
    • Attention to details
    • Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional groups of people utilizing exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to multi-task
    • Can work independently but can also be a team player
    • Able to independently learn and find avenues to get projects done
    • Must demonstrate expert abilities in office productivity tools (MS Office suite)
