    Position Summary

    The main duties of the Payroll Specialist will include assisting with processing payroll and commissions, handling employment changes, addressing employee questions, reporting, and any required filing and documentation.

    Major Duties & Responsibilities

    • Back-up for processing payroll and commissions for multi-state/multi FEIN’s
    • Set up garnishments, child support orders and tax levies
    • Provide interrogatories to the state as needed as well as all terminated employees
    • Revise payroll records for employment changes
    • Update tax information and direct deposits
    • Open, sort, scan, and file mail
    • Answer employee payroll questions as needed
    • Process employment verifications
    • Provide ADP standard reports for supervisors as needed
    • Assist with state registrations
    • Resolve any payroll discrepancies
    • Issue manual payments as needed

    Required Education

    Bachelor's degree

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 1-2 years of payroll experinece
    • Experience with ADP and processing multi state payroll
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Comfortable supporting both internal and external customers
    • Ability to multi-task in a high volume environment
    • Knowledge of state laws related to payroll and taxes
    • Confidentiality is a must
    • Candidate must be detail-oriented and organized

    Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

    • Two plus years of Payroll experience preferred
