    Position Summary

    In collaboration with the Director, Customer Engagement & Distributor Relations, the Order Management Specialist is responsible for providing complete order entry, internal review and communication for all capital orders regardless of channel.  The job holder will take ownership for and lead the order change process, samples process, large order coordination process as well as lead the communications internally around key booking and shipment reports.

    The job holder will play a key role in delivering great customer experiences by providing responsive order confirmations which enables customers to plan for their key product deliveries.

     The Distribution Customer Engagement Specialist position will be based in Charlotte or Remote.

     

    Major Duties & Responsibilities

    • Enter all orders that are created via Email, Fax or EDI
    • Manage all communications around order confirmations internally and externally.
    • Create and execute key daily reports around order changes including tracking reports for internal and external teams
    • Manage all Sample Requests ensuring that the orders are placed, the shipments are confirmed and that the delivery is satisfactory.   Communicate internally for the follow up of the samples that have been sent out.
    • Create and manage sample reporting by sales rep and customer.
    • Manage all orders requiring installation ensuring that all products ship as confirmed, any date changes are mitigated and communicated proactively for any aspect to the orders and that follow up with the customer is taking place regarding the project needs.
    • Manage all change requests ensuring that approvals are received and orders are updated.
    • Participate in cross functional team collaboration.
    • Performs other duties as requested.

    Required Education

    High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, combination of education and 5 years’ commensurate business experience required.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • At least 2 years of experience in customer service and/or order management. 
    • Must be a team-player, possess outstanding customer service skills and be self-motivated.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills will be required as this position will involve direct communications with Joerns customers.
    • This position will require the ability to work under minimal supervision, within a group environment, to address a dynamic range of customer related issues.
    • The ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities throughout the day will be required.
    • Great listening skills and the capability to remain calm and helpful when working with Joerns customers is essential.
    • Acts with a sense of urgency, illustrates ambition, and drives for completion of tasks and projects.
    • Must have the ability to initiate and develop creative solutions.
    • Possess the ability to manage time and prioritize critical priorities.
    • Must demonstrate the ability & desire to increase knowledge.
    • SAP / Salesforce.Com Experience Preferred.
    • General Microsoft skills required – specifically in excel.

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Experience in in the medical device industry
