    Position Summary

    This IT Business Analyst, Finance has a crucial role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between different departments of business (primarily finance) and IT.  This position will be responsible for developing business requirements and related business rules based on business group needs. Must work closely with business partners and subject matter experts in defining, testing, training, implementing and supporting functional requirements. Must identify requirements via industry standard analysis techniques. Must solicit requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems, documentation or procedures.

    Major Duties & Responsibilities

    • Prepares requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations.
    • Defines test conditions, develops test plans and conducts testing according to plan.
    • Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions.
    • Understands how various issues affect each other and the outcome of projects.
    • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
    • Understands the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently.
    • Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively.
    • Identifies and resolves critical issues within a project and escalates as appropriate for resolution.
    • Performs tier 1 SAP ERP support and escalates as needed.
    • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
    • Shares acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.
    • Anticipates needs before they arise and presents solutions to management that encompass issues at hand.
    • Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members.
    • Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.

    Required Education

    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Computer Science or other related field OR four (4) years experience in supporting Finance in an ERP software environment

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Deep understanding of financial processes in an ERP software environment.
    • Knowledge of identifying requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis and functional decomposition analysis.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
    • Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
    • Must be willing to work nights / weekends occasionally based on project needs.

    Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

    • SAP experience preferred, but not required
