Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will provide expert HR support to key leadership teams and their direct reports for assigned business division(s). Responsible for providing leadership guidance on human resource practices and objectives that will support an innovative culture.  The HRBP will coordinate human resource services, policies, and programs for those in their assigned division.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensures procedures and policies are in compliance
  • Maintain required file documentation and work closely with other team members to ensure all files are up to date
  • Apply knowledge of HR components resolve associate issues
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Partner (TAP) to serve as recruiting resource
  • Assist with job description creation/revision as necessary
  • Interview selected candidates internally and externally and provides feedback to the TAP
  • Research and recommend compensation
  • Coordinate in New Hire Orientation program with the Organization Development (OD) team
  • Act as a resource and provide guidance to managers on associate development, discipline and termination process
  • Advise managers on appropriate resolution of associate relations issues
  • Review and approve documentation as necessary
  • Provide analysis to managers and associates as relates to associate and organizational development
  • Connect managers and associates to organization development resources to aid in their development
  • Partner with the OD team to create and launch innovative programs to meet the needs of the company
  • Perform exit interviews and ensures all forms are properly completed when associates are exiting the company
  • Coordinate with TAP and manager to launch into the onboarding process
  • Able to research and utilize ADP and iCims to their fullest extent
  • Answer questions on the modules within ADP for associates and managers
  • Design innovative business solutions, providing HR perspective in conjunction with other HR team members and also on company-wide task forces
  • Ability to discuss information in a way that establishes rapport
  • Ability to see projects thru to completion
  • Participates in development of policies and programs, which govern workplace practices, culture, compensation, recruitment, retention, and development of associates

Required Education

4 year degree required

Required Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of HR discipline including policies & procedures, talent acquisition, associate relations, legal compliance, performance management, organizational development and training and project management
  • 10 years of human resource experience
  • Proficient computer skills within Microsoft Office 

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

  • Previous experience working within a company with multiple locations
  • Certifications:  PHR (or SHRM-CP) or SPHR (SHMR-SCP)
  • Proficient with ADP Workforce & iCIMS
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience partnering with managers at multiple levels
