Position Summary :
The (Service) Technician is responsible for installation and service of patient lift systems to customer facilities in a timely and professional manner, including educating the patient on the safe operation and use of company product.
Major Duties & Responsibilities :
Responsible for delivery and installation of service lift systems in accordance with arranged schedule to the customer/patient
Demonstrates patient proper and safe use of product
Loads and unloads product in an secure manner in accordance with set policies and procedures
Drives safely while obeying all traffic laws
Checks electrical outlets for power and proper ground when delivering electrically powered home medical equipment, in addition to observing entire environment/surroundings for any concerns in accordance with set procedures
Completes required paperwork upon delivery, pick up, or service of product and follows and adheres to HIPAA guidelines
Local and out of state travel
Required Education :
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills & Experience :
2 years of customer service or comparable experience
Must have a valid and current driver license
Good communication skills (verbal and written), along with good organizational skills
Preferred Skills, Experience & Education :
Must have willingness and ability to work extended workweek, including evenings and weekends, and travel
Work/drive safely in all aspects of job
Previous driving/delivery or construction experience
Hammer drilling, minor electrical, basic carpentry and metal skills
Ability to work independently and in team environment
